Taking Time for Reflection

This is our cat, King Tut.  When friends and family come to the house they are greeted by him.  He is friendly and curious.  His appearance is that of a possum, rat or kangaroo.  His markings are not symmetric and his head is not proportionate to his body.  He is very odd looking.

To our family, King Tut is loving, faithful, cute, playful, cuddly and loving.  His coat feels like silk.  He is a Curly haired cornish rex.  He has bat-like ears and big blue eyes.  He will often come and sit in your lap and touch your face gently with his paw.  He is slothful and mostly lays around during the day.   We love him and his appearance doesn't even come into question, unless someone says:  Is that a cat or a dog".

When you look at something and reflect, beauty is often found.  There is beauty in everything.  It is just a matter of determining the beauty scientifically, genetically, aesthetically, or physically.  For example, You might not find a rock beautiful, but upon discovering that it has taken a million years or more to be created, you then discover the beauty in its creation.  Another example is the dandelion.  Not beautiful because it destroys your perfect lawn.  Genetically, it is beautiful because it has the ability to reproduce and spread its seeds and reproduce so rapidly and easily grows in the worst conditions.  REFLECTION just might be the key to finding beauty in everything.
